The EmpowerMinds Mental Health event in Kamloops, BC, is dedicated to raising awareness about culturally sensitive mental health initiatives. This event aims to prevent mental health issues among youth and adults by fostering awareness, destigmatizing mental health, and providing accessible resources for diverse communities.

4th Annual Black History Event February 15th 2025

Valid Dreams Foundation is built on the basis of diversity and inclusion and welcomes people from all walks of life.
We are excited to announce our Annual Black History Event which focuses on promoting and preserving black and African culture and, most importantly, sharing it with other cultures and the community of Kamloops. We provide and create a safe space for other cultures to learn about the African Heritage and the challenges faced by the black community. The event also presents opportunities to foster relationships, deepen cultural understanding, and strengthen allyships within communities.
The 2024 event was attended by over 200 people from all over Canada, and we expect an even better experience this year!
